In related Jay-Z news, the University of Arizona student government lost $900,000 by hosting the rapper at the college's spring concert according to the Daily Wildcat. The organization cited the poor economy as a prime reason for the show's downfall after only raising $500,000 through ticket sales and merchandising. The concert cost $1.4 million - with $750,000 going to Jay-Z - to put on.
